I have though ever since I received my new Pentax K-50, that it was not nearly as sensitive to IR light as my old K-100D.  So I decided to run a test and see really how close they were.  As you can see below, there is no comparison, the K-100D is far superior in IR light sensitivity.  Both were shot through same lens with the same IR filter moments apart. Both were set to these same settings: Mode:aperture priority set to F13, tripod mounted, ISO200, EV +1.5.  The K50 set the shutter speed to 0.7s & the K-100D set it to 1.0s. These are the uncorrected straight out of the camera shots. K50 on the left & K100D on the right.
